Ayita de Alta Riva( JUST THE BASICS )
( FULL NAME ) --- Ayita de Alta Riva ( NICKNAME ) Riva ( AGE ) --- Nineteen ( GENDER ) --- Female ( RACE ) --- Yaqui Indian (Native American) ( OCCUPATION ) --- Saloon Girl
( THE OUTSIDE )
( HAIR ) --- Dark brown waves ( EYES ) --- Chocolate brown ( SKIN TONE ) --- Tan ( HEIGHT ) --- 5'6" ( WEIGHT ) --- 115 ( OVERALL ) Standing at approximately 5'6" with skin that has been molested by the sun and eyes that seem to freeze you down to your marrow, Ayita puts off an energy was wrath and excitement. She has curves that she had developed with her people in Mexico, the Yaqui Indians, helping her parents in growing squash for the Yoreme, her family and her life. She has a small, narrow button nose and a very strong, almost masculine jawline. Upon her wrists are small scars from when she was kidnapped from her homeland and sold into slavery as a saloon girl. With the money she earns, she pays her madam and protects her family from being hurt.
Ayita's hair flows down her back to the center of between her shoulders. She hardly ever puts her hair up when she isn't in the saloon trying to deal with the drunken men that visit her and the other women. She has a small scar on her leg from falling off a horse when she was a child, but it is hardly visible unless someone were to look closer for further inspection.
( THE INSIDE )
( LIKES ) --- Dancing, Singing, Writing, Drawing, Reading ( DISLIKES ) --- Spiders, pigs, drunken men, jealous women, alcohol ( STRENGTHS ) --- Cautious, self-motivated, tolerant, adventurous, ambitious ( WEAKNESSES ) --- Aggressive, blunt, stubborn, prejudiced ( DREAMS ) --- 1. When walking around the saloon, she has a look like that of a woman scorned. This usually scares away the men, but sometimes that brings them around even more. Sometimes she can even be bitter toward others, but that's only because of how she wound up in her predicament as a prostitute. On top of that, she needs to harden herself so that she is able to work and deal with the drunks that she tends to have to deal with from day to day.
On the inside, Ayita is very artistic, gentle, and caring. Only a select few have ever seen Ayita smile, and for her friends and family, she is more than willing to stick her neck out for them and protect them. She is naturally always looking after others, even though most of the time she is the youngest. It comes very natural to her to care for people, especially when she use to live with her people in Mexico, many of the children or injured went to her for healing. Ayita knows how to show hospitality.
( THE PAST )
( MOTHER ) --- Mai de Alta Riva ( FATHER ) --- Yahto de Alta Riva ( SIBLINGS ) --- Akando de Alta Riva ( OTHER IMPORTANT PEOPLE ) --- N/A ( HOMETOWN ) --- Small tribe in Mexico ( CURRENT HOME ) --- The Saloon ( OVERALL ) Ayita grew up with the Yoreme people in Mexico with her two parents. She has an older brother named Akando, who has always been there for her when she needed him. He was always protective of her, teaching her to care for others as he'd cared for her. When Akando went to hunt with the other men and their father, Ayita stayed behind with her mother to work on the squash that they grew as a whole with other women and daughters. She thought that her life was perfect, but then as American soldiers ransacked their small tribe in the dead of night, stealing everything they had and kidnapping women, children, and killing some of the men, Ayita was taken from her family. Akando fought to get her back, but was shot down. Ayita does not know whether or not he survived the bullet wound, but she prayed that she would someday return home.
She traveled with a small amount of women and girls ranging from 10 to their mid-twenties. They rode in the back of a carriage using the horses the Americans had stolen from their families. Ayita could remember the crying of the children as they walked their friends and sisters being sold from place to place, but Ayita was not the last to leave. In fact, she probably would have like to be the first to go. Having to watch all the girls leaving her and watching their terrified faces as they watched the remaining leave them behind was a heart breaker. Soon there was Ayita and a couple other girls a couple years older than she.
Ayita was taken to Lincoln County, being only a young girl who hadn't even reached puberty yet, and was a servant girl in the saloon to the madam until she became of age to begin selling her body. She was forced out of the carriage and placed in front of the saloon when it was late at night. The madam looked her over a couple times, and bought her. Ayita didn't know how much the woman had spent on her, but she didn't care. She just wanted to leave. Throughout her time as a young girl, before she became a prostitute, she was taught to read and write in English. The madam told Ayita that if she could make enough money, she could buy her freedom and return home. If Ayita didn't put effort into helping the "business" then her whole family would be murdered. Ayita agreed, but knew everything was a lie. With the scrap of money she saves, she plans on running away and never looking back on the horror which was Lincoln County.
( ROLE PLAY SAMPLE ) This is important because I want to see how well you can roleplay and more importantly the character.
