( OVERALL )serenity takes on the 'emo' or 'scene' look unlike more horse fanatics. she often times is wearing her skinny jeans and converse, with her hair teased. the typical look of the 'outcasts' as she's told. she's a very petite girl. tall, but with a tiny waist. her hands are petite also. every feature about her gives her the 'innocent' and 'helpless' look, though she is quite the opposite. underneath her thin frame lies a girl as strong as a wrestler, but with emotions so easily harmed at times, it's outrageous.
ren has a the face as lovely as an angel's, and on her face sit perfectly placed grey eyes that are as bright as stars in the night sky. her lips are not too thin, but not too thick. she generally has black eye liner around her eyes, making them stand out even more. Her raven colored hair causes her face to look that much more innocent, and she can play the fascade pretty well.( THE INSIDE )( LIKES ) ---( DISLIKES ) ---+ Horses

( OVERALL )serenity is a very timid type of person. she may act outgoing at times, but most of the time, she's the one you see secluded to the corner, not daring to bother anyone. many would call her anti-social, as she won't talk to someone first. they end up talking to her or they'll never have a conversation. however, ren is extremely patient, especially with animals, and she'll even admit that she's more patient with animals than people, and most of the time, it's people that get under her skin.
ren can be extrememly loveable and laughable, but catch her on one of her bad days, and you're bound to hate her for the rest of your life. it's just how she's always been, and no one really knows why. she's the typical, 'i can be your bestfriend or your worst enemy' type. ren is also the type to say something to your face, despite being timid and quite reserved. if you're doing something she takes a strong dislike to, chances are, you're going to be her permanant enemy unless you fix it. until you fix it, you'll hear nothing but hell from this eighteen year old.( THE PAST )( MOTHER ) ---andrea michelle dales

( OVERALL )serenity grew up in phoenix, arizona, though you couldn't tell from her skin tone. she was always the 'outcast'. from kindergarten to graduation. her reclusive behavior caused her to be timid and reserved toward people, but also allowed her the chance to sit back and watch others get their heartbroken by dickhearted guys, and stabbed in the backs by their bestfriends, which only made her more kept to herself. over the years, this behavior extended to her family, and with good reason. while her parents worried about her becoming a complete recluse, there was nothing they could do to change her mind about being more social.
eventually, she had some true friends by highschool. however, ren always had this thing that she did. she knew when something bad was coming and would push away from everyone until she no longer had feelings from them. her two bestfriends, matthew and jamie, were the only things she had ever remained close to. however, her freshmen year, she began pushing away from jamie, and with good reason. that summer, when ren had just got done no longer feeling as close to jamie, the teen committed suicide by shooting herself with her father's shotgun, and leaving a note to her parents explaining that them never being home was the reason, and telling matthew and ren that she loved them dearly. of course that caused ren to love her bestfriend all over again, and when her parents heard the news, they didn't even cancel their dinner, though her father, roy, wanted to so he could comfort his daughter.
that night, when her parents returned, they found ren nearly dead on the kitchen floor, a kitchen knife stabbed into her chest, and a note to her mom saying she was the reason and that she loved matthew, and she'd be joining jamie soon. her father rushed his daughter to the hospital while her mother was shocked into place. they mananged to save her life and once she was better, she and matthew began hanging out more, and her best guy friend ended up being her first kiss. however, her mom had gone crazy by now, and when matthew was over one day, she killed him right before ren's eyes, though the teen tried to stop her mother. at the service, her mom was there with police escorts, and ren went up to her mother during prayer and slapped the woman across her face so hard she hit the ground and rolled.
after that, ren became a true recluse. her junior year was the worse and best. after going through a sophomore year friendless and having everyone feeling bad for her, she was finally gaining strength to carry on. she hated her mother with such strong passion her father was afraid to even say the word 'mother' around her. however, the two never became close. people would try to talk to her, and she would merely look at them with dead eyes and whisper 'hi.' she would never hold a conversation. at home, she would hide herself away in her room and write songs, and often times, her father would have to stand in her doorway and give her knife to stab her walls with so she could release some anger, all the while, crying and feeling sick.
after the divorce, and the end of her senior year, one girl, silver ann joanasonn, had been patient enough to make friends with the teen, and for once, ren felt a part of her was whole once more. she still had her wall stabbing moments, and still does to this day, along with her moments where she does nothing but cry all day and sit in her favorite horse's stall. ramber, the now six gelding, was bought for her when her mother was taken to jail, and she never cared for the horse or anything else until her junior year when things finally began to get better, thanks to silver. now, she and ramber are as close as close gets.( ROLE PLAY SAMPLE )
This is important because I want to see how well you can roleplay and more importantly the character.Serenity shoved her hands deep into her warm jacket pockets as she made her way through the canopy of trees. She looked around, her blue eyes dancing on every detail of the picture before her. She took a deep breath, only to have it sharply cut off as the frigid air stung her throat. She coughed and exhaled, letting the warmth of her breath heat her throat slowly. She didn't know why she was here, or why she was carrying her guitar around, but she just felt like she needed to be at peace with herself today. It was one of her days. She was new in this town. At this high-school, and though she was use to being a loner, she was also use to having the ocassional friend around. After all, no one ever liked to be left truly alone.
She wasn't sure how long she had walked, or for how far, but she knew that she was deep within the forest now. She had made her way to a clearing, where the trees seemed to circle the area that was filled with dead tulips. She smirked and walked over to a large oak, sitting against it and carefully removing the guitar from it's case. She took the pick from inbetween the strings and began to play a song she knew well. The first song she ever learned, and not to mention her acoustic sounded perfect, since the first and last part of the song, and some places inbetween, maybe even in the background, were the acoustic. Never Too Late by none other than Three Days Grace. She sang along in her head, but not aloud.
Despite the cold, the constant moving of her fingers kept them from getting stiff. She loved to play guitar, though she had never really understood her fascination for music. She looked around the clearing and noticed a few winter dwellers moving restlessly around. A small hare made it's way across the meadowy like clearing, while a few of the winter dwelling birds chirped and flew around, looking for objects to put into their warm homes. She smiled and quickly changed the song to another she knew well. I am by Hilary Duff. She could remember the video that got her into the song as she sang along. Detail for detail. She smiled as she got more and more into the song, letting her voice rise from the feeble way to it's true power and beauty.
She hadn't gotten lead singer of her band for nothing. It had taken some controversy, and now, while her amazing band mates made the melodic and craved music, she sang along to the beat, pulling her band to the top slowly. Currently, they were off getting some things straight with a new Producer, and she couldn't wait to get the news, though she still had ten week wait in front of her. It was almost slaughtering. She smirked and stood up, all the while never losing beat to the song, mostly because she was at the part where music didn't play, and then the faint guitar came and eventually grew in strength. Once she had completed the song, she smiled and looked around. A warm feeling came over her then. The music had given her some sort of relief from her current reality, but she knew it wouldn't last long, and music wouldn't keep it away forever. She really needed some friends.
